Mitchel Musso Musical Talent

Published by jasgal142 at 8:18 am under Music Edit This

When I first heard that Mitchel Musso was releasing an album, I was thinking about taking a nap.  After all, what Disney Channel Star has not released an album?  While I have put off really listening to the album, after all, we here at the Broken Glass do not exactly fall into the target demographic.  If you do not know what a target demographic is, then you probably already know that Mitchel portrays Oliver on some little television show called “Hannah Montana.”

Let me forthright, I enjoy Oliver, err Mitchel on the show.  I think this kid has the comic timing of George Burns.  He is really hilarious.  Toss him in with Emily Osment and Billy Ray and Miley Cyrus, and Hannah Montana is one entertaining show.  Perhaps that explains the mass appeal of the show, everyone can watch it and actually laugh.

The show not withstanding, I was quick to dismiss Mitchel Musso in the vocal department.  I mean, really, how much talent can one kid have.  Even Miley Cyrus is by far a better singer than she is an actor, at least at this point of her career.  Then I listened to a couple of tracks from Mitchel Musso’s album and now I have “Hey” stuck in my head for the third day in a row.  Many of the other tracks are equally good, from the fitting in problems of “The In Crowd” to the ridiculously addicting “Hey”, Mitchel scores.

Funny when you watch a show like Hannah Montana which is all about Miley, then you realize the supporting cast may just be as talent or more so than her.  Disney kicks American Idols rear end in the talent discovery department anyday.

So congrats to Mitchel Musso, you made in onto a thirty five year old father’s playlist, and I am telling everyone to give you a chance.
